Bella Mengdie Li joined Clark Raymond & Company in 2017. Bella has a strong track record on a broad range of federal and state tax issues such as income and estate tax returns, state nexus compliance, private foundation tax compliance and corporate liquidations. Bella is fluent in Chinese and English and works with US and internationally based clients and represents them before the IRS with respect to all types of tax issues.

Bella’s international education and perspectives provide her proficiency issuing memos and solutions based on tax research, and have resulted in client successes involving the laws of Puerto Rico, China, Sweden, Switzerland, Malta and many other jurisdictions. Her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation is from the University of Washington and her admissions to the Bar include Washington, New York and the People’s Republic of China.

Bella is an active member of the Taxation and International Practice Sections of the Washington State Bar Association and Seattle Chinese Bar Association, as well as having volunteered at the University of Washington Federal Tax Clinic. You might also run into her enjoying an early morning jog or speaking at the Cosmos Toastmasters, where she had been the club’s President and Secretary.
